The free daily check-in app for people who live alone
Tap once a day to say you are okay. If you miss it, Snuggy tells the person you chose and asks them to look in on you. The check-in is free, with no time limit and no card.
No pendant. Nothing to charge. No call centre.
One tap a day. That is the whole thing.
You check in
One green button, once a day, at a time you pick. Snuggy reminds you before it is due, and again if you forget.
Snuggy calls you first
Miss it and your own phone rings before anybody else is troubled. Most missed check-ins are a forgotten tap, not an emergency.
Then your contact is told
If you still have not checked in, the person you chose hears about it and is asked to look in on you.
What is free, and what is not
Free, with no time limit
- The daily check-in itself
- Reminders before your time
- An email to your contact if you miss one
- Test alerts, so you can prove it works
The paid part
- A phone call to you first
- A text message to your contact
- A phone call to your contact
- Notes for whoever comes to help
An email can sit unread all day. A ringing phone does not. That is the honest difference.
It does a little more than check in

In their own words
“My kids mean well but apparently turning 70 means they think I need to report in every five minutes 😂 Now I let Snuggy know I'm fine in the morning and everybody can relax.”

“I've been living alone since my husband passed and my sister kept asking me to find something like this. It only takes a few seconds in the morning and honestly I forget about it the rest of the day. That's exactly how I want an app like this to work.”
lindar628 · App Store
“My daughter lives in Texas and I'm in Michigan. She can't exactly stop by to see if Dad is doing alright. She likes knowing there is a backup if she hasn't heard from me.”

Setting it up for your mother or father?
Snuggy works that way too. Pair the two phones and you can add their reminders, see whether they have checked in today, and be told if they have not. They keep one green button; you get the quiet reassurance.
Questions people ask
- Is Snuggy free?
- Yes. The daily check-in, the reminders and an email to your contact if you miss one are free, with no time limit and no card. Text messages and phone calls are the paid part.
- What happens if I do not check in?
- Snuggy reminds you before your chosen time and again if you forget. If you still have not checked in, the person you chose is told and asked to look in on you.
- Who gets told?
- Only the person you choose. Nobody else, ever. It does not have to be family — a neighbour or a carer works just as well.
- Do I have to wear anything?
- No. There is no pendant, no bracelet and nothing to charge. Snuggy is an app on the phone you already have.
- Does Snuggy call an ambulance?
- No. Snuggy tells a person you trust. There is also a red SOS button that opens 911 on your phone and alerts your contact at the same time.
- What if I have nobody to add?
- Snuggy will still remind you every day, but there would be nobody to tell. It works best with at least one contact, and that can be a neighbour.
